Welcome to Our New Head of Operations
Due to ongoing growth and extending our services, we’ve recently strengthened our team and have welcomed David Hutton as our Head of Operations!
Agilis has grown from primarily offering Covid-19 testing solutions, to a whole host of health management resources, including diagnostic and screening services.
We caught up with David to find out more about his role and what made him join Agilis during such an exciting period of growth.
Hi David, what are your day-to-day responsibilities at Agilis?
My role has a wide scope with responsibility for all things operational including the customer service function, quality management, ISO accreditation, regulatory compliance, supplier management and stock/inventory logistics. Alongside this I’m also involved with business continuity, resilience, budget, operational project planning and delivery.
In essence, on a day-to-day basis, I pull all the above together and make things happen! At the moment I am reviewing the business, focusing on areas in which we can improve as we extend our services, grow and move towards occupational and travel health.
Could you tell us more about your industry and work experience?
I am a committed and detailed operator and an innovative and energetic leader, who is experienced in building teams to deliver strategic change and outstanding financial results.
I have 20 years’ experience in the hospitality, leisure, gaming, and hotel industries, working in multi-site operational management roles.
My present and previous employment roles have combined disciplines which have included a range of responsibilities, from stock control, management accounting, and team compliance, to profit and loss forecasting, site acquisition and coaching.
As a result of my work over the years, I’ve helped businesses develop brand awareness, product consistency, delivery, and customer satisfaction. This work has resulted in increased turnover and profitability overall.
What made you join Agilis?
I was approached by Mike Eriksen, CEO at Agilis about the role. I have known Mike for several years from his previous roles and have always been very impressed with his manner and business acumen.
The opportunity to learn a new industry coupled with the fact that this is a new, very visible and business critical position within the company appealed to me. As well as the fact there’s a wide scope in accountability and responsibility, along with the opportunity to help shape the future of Agilis Health not only here in the UK but also abroad, was a very attractive proposition!
